PLOGG FOR YOUR CITY

Join Plogg for your city on 23 March 2019. An event incorporating jogging and picking up litter in a fun run environment to raise awareness on cleaning up our communities whilst promoting a healthy lifestyle choice inform of exercise.

Plogg for city is also a fundraiser and initiative to empower people by setting up a means of income generation activities. Proceeds will be utilized to pilot a recycling project. We believe that we are called to assist people on the road to habilitation, whatever their situation or addiction may be. Our main aim is to see that people are welcomed into a caring fellowship of believers, and become vibrant followers of Christ.

A life where the un-employable, the employable and the empowered learn together how to co-operate in living free and industrious lives, and where they are being called to become disciples of Jesus. We are not a church that is why we calling upon  the  church to work with us. According to Jesus Luke 15:11-32(Combined initiatives to call women out of prostitution; youth  from substance consumption, journeying with each individual in discovering the abundant life in Jesus Christ and facilitating opportunities for training and fellowship. one believer should At least assist one destitute person and bring to church of God.

he event  takes place every third Saturday of the month. The basic objective in this initiative is for all to help one another to find life and the power to live it abundantly. We all need help in this regard and we all should help one another in this way, particularly helping a homeless person  find a job as well as coaching  them in accordance with the bible that” If you used to rob, you must stop robbing and start working, in order to earn an honest living for yourself and to be able to help the poor” and our advice  participant evangelist  in this initiative is that never give money to a homeless but altreast  ask him or her to do a one hour community service this is not punishment but to coach that one can only live a good life if they can work (Proverbs 12:11)

Pastors are important in our communities with a lot of influence therefore we rarely on our church leaders to see sense in this initiative and not seing it as a scam. We have a 9 in 1 Heat press which is able to do Tshirt Printing , plate printing, cap , mug e.t.c. what we are going to do is to print a name of a church or a name of the pastor with the address of the church. We will be going through churches distributing these items and everyone interested will be asked to buy a t-shirt or cap and these are the dress code of this initiative. Volunteers from different church denominations participate in the outreaches that last until the early hours of the morning. In this way we strengthen the relationship between us and churches, and strive to be a true example of the Body of Christ in action.

How to get involved

Start to assist a desperate person wherever and however you can. Make special time in your daily and weekly routine to do so. Become a friend to one person who you have noticed is struggling the most and whom you really want to help and then, intentionally, meet regularly to work out a way forward, together. Pursue this relationship until the person starts doing the same with another struggling person,

Ask God to make this initiative a blessing to the wold and those who live in it

Promote the activities of this initiative. The solution it offers is very simple: The more activities the Project can undertake, the more all levels of the community benefit by it. The initiative  is not job creation activities. They are a bundle of habilitation programmes for people who are not yet able to act productively and responsibly. These initiative help desperate and destitute individuals to earn cash in hand, by means of honest and hard work, as an alternative to aggressive begging, theft or other criminal activities.

Important life skills are learnt and put into practice. While areas are cleared of rubbish and other undesirable objects, undesirable issues and circumstances are also purged from the streets, from people’s lives and from the community. They are also encouraged to become disciples of Jesus and join a disciple group. We call these interventions the “evangelism”.

Support our soccer fitness club by encouraging homeless people to join our Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays training sessions. Become a friend to one desperate person. A real friend is someone who is willing to be frank with you; someone who is there to encourage you not to give up when the going gets tough; someone who helps you find wisdom to overcome difficulties
