The basic objective in ths Partnership” is for all to help one another to find life and the power to live it abundantly. We call this interaction with one another “ophelp” (Afr): “Mutually helping each other to get up”

We all need help in this regard and we all should help one another in this way. Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? ... (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12)

This is the heart of “Partneeship” as a project and we should make it happen.

Living life and having the power to live it abundantly cannot be achieved by forcing oneself and others to do what one thinks need to be done. It is in the Body of Christ in Action where we are meant to find the inspiration and coaching to achieve it. This can only be realised by knowing the truth of the situations we find ourselves in and having wisdom about the issues involved and then allowing this knowledge to inspire us to live by them.

As the above proverb states, it will also require good co-operation between all involved. Coaching participants in “The Movement”, does so in accordance with the teachings of Jesus. There should be no uncertainty or compromise about this.

In the case of a problem

According to the teaching of Jesus, if you see someone doing something wrong in your opinion, it is your duty to go to that person and to show him his fault, and you should do so privately. It would be wrong to complain to others about it, and even worse to talk bad about it to others. (The teaching of Jesus is very hard on those who slander or judge others.) If the person in question listens to you and changes his actions, you have achieved what Jesus expects from you.

If the person does not agree with you or do not want to follow your advice about it, the advice of Jesus, in order to take this further, is to get the help of one or two wise persons to join you in discussing the matter with the person who is doing something wrong in your opinion. You should still do so privately. Nobody but this small group should know anything about it. The idea with this is that wise persons should be able to establish what all should be thinking and doing about the problem so that nobody in this or any situation should simply get their own way.

Only after these two steps fail, should it become a matter for all to attend to. At this level we submit reports or recommendations regarding persons. Only then it becomes a public matter. its for this reason that we work with every church and every pastor and there is no one who is a false pastor.
